Head of Project Management and Procurement Services

Location: Leicester/Stafford/Glasgow/Coventry/London     Salary: £50000-£65000+ Car Allowance + Bonus

Purpose

To provide leadership in the Kelvin Power’s structure function and to provide project oversight on procurement and delivery of the structures for the business.

Key Responsibilities

• To lead the project management and procurement services function within Kelvin Power and Vinci Energies in Transmission and Distribution Domain
• To own the profit and loss account for the Kelvin Power Structure and ensure a continuous growth year on year (turnover, client portfolio, and operating profit) and ensure we can maintain a safe and compliant business
• To define the strategy for a product business (identification of key markets, securing work, supply-chain strategy)
• To ensure the procurement and project management of the projects in the structure business follows the agreed IMS process  
• To manage the relationship with supply-chain (fabricators), and coordinate site visits for inspection, quality control, and checks on product supplied to the clients  
• To lead client engagements, lead on developing the proposals, winning work and delivering projects and to empower team-members to assist in growing the businessTo hold the responsibility of project management of a portfolio of projects within Kelvin Power and to maximise the revenue, and margin (E-result) 

Requirements

• Experience of managing a team
• Ability to train and mentor more junior members of the team
• Experience of SHEQ processes in a product line business
• Experience of whole project process from fee proposals and concept design to project completion strong technical ability with in-depth experience of designing in all main materials  
• Client facing
• Passion for business developmentExcellent commercial awareness and business acumen

Qualification required (Essential):

• Degree educated (or equivalent) in technical or business subject
• Membership of professional bodies (i.e. PMP, IET, CIPS)
