Graduate Civil / Structural Engineer

Location: London/Leicester/Birmingham/Stafford/Glasgow/Perth     Salary: Competitive

We have a number of positions as part of our 2021 graduate intake in our business. You will join a 2 year programme (4x 6month placements) working in different departments:
  • Civil and Layout Engineering
  • Structural Engineering
  • Structural Design
  • Project Management and Commercial
to gain a holistic understanding of design and construction market in the transmission and distribution, and renewable sector. On a day to day you will be:
  • Producing calculations, drawings, project reports and RC Details for civil and structural engineering works associated with all aspects of structural engineering and primary plant works required for the development of substations including structures, buildings, foundations and the like, in accordance with BS and EE standards.
  • Utilising AutoCAD, Revit (for BIM), MS Office and various calculation software as required.
  • Developing structural steelwork and aluminium drawings using AutoCAD and other software.
  • Supporting all engineering disciplines to develop construction drawings for all aspects of civil engineering and primary plant work required for the development of substations including structures, buildings, foundations and the like.
  • Developing structural steelwork and aluminium drawings using AutoCAD software and liaising with clients and fabricators
  • You will be required to liaise closely in house and externally with clients, clients’ engineers, contractors, statutory bodies and the like and work to agreed delivery programs.
