Our History

Kelvin Power (formerly Kelvin Energy) is a leading provider of consultancy services specialising in substation design and the design and manufacture of structures for the global power industry.

Formed in 1993 from an existing company, Kelvin Power has over 40 years’ experience of working in the power generation and distribution industry.

Since 2005 we have also worked extensively in the renewable energy sector. 

Our success in delivering high quality design services and products has fuelled continuous growth of our business and in April 2011, Kelvin Power relocated to larger modern offices conveniently located just off the M1 on the outskirts of Leicester.

In August 2013 Kelvin Power opened up a new office in Perth enabling us to service the needs of our customer base in Scotland more efficiently.  As a consequence of this we have continued to win more work in Scotland and are expanding our office there.

In 2018 Kelvin Power was acquired by Vinci Energies and is now a member of global Vinci Energies companies operating in the transmission and distribution space.
